Home Edmonton Mortgage Broker

Your Edmonton Mortgage Broker.
Same Honest Advice. Same Lenders. Same Phone.

I'm a licensed Alberta mortgage broker with MMG Mortgages. I work with Edmonton buyers, homeowners, and investors across every neighbourhood — from heritage homes in Old Strathcona and Glenora to new builds in Windermere and Summerside. Same access to 12+ lenders. Same plain-language explanations. Same broker who actually picks up the phone.

Why Work With Me

Edmonton clients deserve a broker who actually answers

Most Edmonton mortgage shoppers hit the same two walls — bank advisors who can only offer their own institution's products, or large brokerage call centres where you talk to someone different every time. I'm neither. You'll deal directly with me from your first conversation through to your settlement, with the same Alberta-wide lender access as any Edmonton-based broker.

Alberta-licensed, full-service

I'm licensed across Alberta and work the full Edmonton market. Buying in Sherwood Park, refinancing in Riverbend, or pre-approving in Windermere — same broker, same process.

Modern, remote-friendly

Phone, video, e-signature, secure document upload. The whole mortgage can be handled remotely if you want — or I'll come to you when it makes sense.

Honest answers, not sales scripts

If a refinance doesn't make sense for you, I'll tell you. If your bank's renewal offer is actually decent, I'll tell you that too. The goal is the right mortgage — not just any mortgage.

FAQ

Edmonton mortgage questions, answered

Can I work with you in Edmonton if you're based in Calgary?

Yes. I'm licensed across Alberta, which means I can write mortgages anywhere in the province — Edmonton, Sherwood Park, St. Albert, and beyond. The whole process can be handled remotely: phone, video calls, e-signature, and secure document upload. You get the same lender access and the same level of service as any Edmonton-based broker.

How much does an Edmonton mortgage broker cost?

On standard residential mortgages in Edmonton, brokers are paid by the lender after settlement — there's no fee to the borrower in most cases. The exception is alternative or private lending scenarios, where a broker fee may apply; I'll always tell you up front before any work starts.

Why use an Edmonton mortgage broker instead of a bank?

Edmonton banks can only offer their own products. As a broker I compare 12+ lenders — major banks, credit unions, monoline lenders, and alternative lenders — to find better rates and broader approval options. If your Edmonton bank has said no, a broker can often still get you approved.

Do you work with first-time buyers in Edmonton?

Yes. First-time buyers are a major part of my practice. I'll walk you through the Edmonton market, the federal First Home Savings Account, the RRSP Home Buyers' Plan, the First-Time Home Buyers' Tax Credit, and Alberta-specific costs — so you know exactly what you can afford before you start shopping.

Can you help with self-employed mortgages in Edmonton?

Yes. Self-employed mortgages — including business owners, contractors, and incorporated professionals across Edmonton — are a specialty. I know which lenders accept business-owner income, how to document T1 General returns and Notice of Assessments, and how to use stated-income or alternative-lender programs when traditional approval isn't possible.

Can the whole mortgage be done remotely?

Yes. The entire process — application, document collection, lender selection, approval, and signing — can be handled remotely with phone, video, and e-signature. You won't need to drive to a Calgary office to work with me.
